Our lunch here was one of the most disappointing dining experiences we’ve had. The biggest issue wasn’t even the food, it was the staff. They came across as impolite, dismissive, and carried an air of entitlement throughout our visit. Our waiter was particularly unhelpful, showing little interest in addressing questions or resolving concerns. The food only made matters worse. They served what they called a Panang Curry, but it bore little resemblance to the standard Thai dish. Only after we questioned it were we told, “This is how we make it.” If you’re going to redefine a classic dish, that should be made clear on the menu, not after it’s served. Even more frustrating, when we asked if it could be corrected, they had the audacity to ask us to pay extra for the change, despite the dish being misleadingly represented. For the prices they charge, the quality of both the food and the service falls far short of expectations. There are far better Thai restaurants that offer authentic flavors, courteous service, and much better value. The high Google rating is genuinely baffling and did not reflect our experience at all. Party of 2 went for dinner the Sunday of Labor Day weekend. Reached the restaurant around 6pm and were seated within 5 minutes. Really liked the interior decor of the place. I had the mango sticky rice to start, and we shared the papaya salad as an appetizer. I had the signature fried rice with beef. All the food was good quality but it took almost half an hour after we had ordered for anything to arrive at our table. We were starving after a day full of hiking in Lassen NP. The restaurant was packed for sure. Ample parking in the lot outside. Total including tips and taxes came to around 65 bucks, so pretty reasonably priced I'd say.

Google map didn't do justice for this place. It pointed me at the other side of the plaza by starbucks. Idk what was up but there's was a difference between typing the address vs the name of the place. I was in the area and was open to all options. There's not a lot of places at Chico to go to. Staff were nice but there were only 3 the day I went and the restaurant was busy so it was difficult to get their attention when I needed something. The staff assigned to my seating area didn't really come back after I was fone with the food to ask if there was anything else I was concerned with. Anyway, I ordered chicken satay with a side of sticky rice. This was enjoyable which I would order again if I visit for next time. Then I added papaya salad (thai style, not laos). It came out pretty salty that I couldn't eat it so I barely touched it. When the bill came, they didn't charged me for the papaya salad but I gave them a tip because food like that still costed a bit of work time and ingredients.

I've long heard of Cocodine's delicious food, but only just tried it myself - and it lives up to the hype! Everything was extremely flavorful, the tofu was cooked to perfection, and there were plenty of clearly labeled vegetarian options. The staff was also extremely nice. We'll definitely be back.

My favorite Thai place in Chico. Been coming for years. I ordered Phucket Island, Pad Thai, Sweet Nut curry for my 2 yrs old, and Angel Wings. I never tried the Phucket Island before, loads of scallops and Shrimp. Sweet mild curry flavor with what looks like eggs mixed in. While it was good, I probably will stick to my normal Garlic Short Ribs. Other items were good as well, sweet nut curry is perfect for my kids. They love it. No spice at all.
